The Hinton Branch Scott Scholarship

Since 1991…

The Hinton Branch Scott Family Reunion has awarded scholarships to qualified family members pursuing their education — a tradition made possible entirely through the generosity of our family. Each year, the Scholarship Committee reviews applications and awards a scholarship to a deserving candidate, provided funding and a qualified applicant are in place.

A Message From Our President

The Hinton Branch Scott Family Reunion Scholarship Fund needs your support.

The Scholarship Committee will award a scholarship this year, providing we have a qualified applicant, but we need your financial support. I ask that you support the Scholarship Fund as best you can, and encourage qualified candidates to apply.

May God continue to shine warmly on all of you, and keep you in His loving arms until we meet again!

With Family in Mind,
Eric (Bruce) Scott, President
Hinton Branch Scott Family Reunion

How to Apply

Qualified candidates must submit all of the following — incomplete applications will not be considered:

  2. A copy of your high school transcript, mailed directly by the school to the address below.

  3. A short autobiographical essay explaining why you feel you should be awarded this scholarship. Your essay must address:

    • When you attended the HBS Reunion (you must have attended at least three of the last five years)

    • How the HBS Reunion has helped you in your personal development

  4. Verification of acceptance and enrollment from a college or university.

You'll also be asked to disclose whether you've received any other scholarships and, if so, to list all awards received and their amounts.
